Cotswolds Winter wedding | Stone Barn Wedding Photographer

I recently photographed this absolutely stunning winter wedding at Stone Barn in the Cotswolds, and wow! The day was crisp and cold, with frost covering the ground, but the sun was shining and it created this magical shimmer. Winter weddings are always something pretty special!

The day kicked off with me joining the groom, Alex, and his crew at this charming little cottage where they were getting ready. They all looked so sharp in their suits, and we even took a little stroll on the cobbled streets before heading to the venue.

Once everyone arrived, the ceremony began and it was such a beautiful and emotional moment. Grace, the bride, appeared in this gorgeous dress from Marias Bridal Boutique that was just so elegant and classic. It brought tears to the eyes of most of their families.

After the ceremony, we ventured out in the winter air to capture some stunning couple portraits. The low winter sun added this magical touch to the photos, and the fields surrounding the barn provided the perfect backdrop.

Now, let's talk about dinner… the tables were served beef fillet for guests to carve themselves, which I thought was such a unique and interactive touch. It became a great conversation starter and had everyone chatting and laughing. And the speeches that followed were absolutely amazing, they had the whole room in tears of both joy and laughter. As the sun went down I stole the couple away for one last quick sunset photo in front of the spectacular orange sky (winter sunsets just hot different). And this was quickly followed by SPARKLERS! The couple bought tonnes of amazing sparklers for all their guests to enjoy while they walked down the tunnel, kissed, danced and generally enjoyed the magic of sparklers in the cold winter evening!

As the evening wore on, a fantastic Motown band got the party started, and here's a fun twist - Grace changed into a second dress, a stunning tasseled short wedding dress by Nadine Merabi. It was such a stylish and modern choice, and it added a whole new level of fun to the celebration.

Overall, this wedding was the epitome of elegance and sophistication, with a touch of winter magic & a hella lots of dancing to top it off! The atmosphere was so fun and relaxed, and I had an absolute blast capturing every moment. I can't wait to share more of these beautiful moments with you soon.
