my approach & style
I want all of my sessions to be fun, relaxed & full of genuine moments, so I keep posing to a minimum & just let you be you while I document the moments.
A lot of my recently sessions have taken place in more urban settings like skate parks, Bristol & Bath city streets or at your home, which give all the sessions a really unique vibe & can be a way of taking your mind off having your photo taken. FAQs
HOW DO I BOOK?
I’m honoured you want to book in, so let’s get your session in the diary. Fill in the contact forms below. Giving me as much info about what you’re after would be amazing; potential date, location, what kind of session you’re after… anything important.
What if the weather is dodgy?
Living in the UK, we know that not every day will be tropical, so booking your shoot with a realistic mindset is always a good place to start. Clouds & light-wind create such dramatic, beautiful images, so if you’re up for the adventure I'll embrace the weather whatever it throws at us. But if the weather is really bad, then we postpone or move it indoors if we can.
How do we receive our gallery?
I’ll start editing your photos & your full gallery will be ready within 4 weeks of your shoot. From here you can view all the photos & select which photos you’d like to download. If you’d like to upgrade to a full gallery and/or get some prints you can also do that directly from the gallery store. The watermarks on the images will disappear on the photos you download automatically. Your gallery will be available for 12 weeks, so please make sure you have saved and backed up your photos.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
You don’t have to bring anything with you, but I have a couple of recommendations to put you at ease. I always have a speaker with me, so we can put on your favourite playlist which helps ease you into the session, bring blankets to cosy up, bring some wine or beer if you’re having a sunset session, or a flask of coffee if it’s early. It’s all about photographing you as you are, and how you want to remember your time. If you’re skaters why not have the session at a skatepark?
What if one of us is ill?
The Covid pandemic has taught us all how unpredictable life can be. If you’re ill, or have any flu or Covid symptoms close to your session, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can rearrange.
What should we wear?
The most important thing is that you feel good in what you’re wearing, and it reflects your taste and style. I’ll always encourage fun & play on a shoot so think about whether you’re happy getting it wet or dirty (something you want to keep pristine will mean you’ll be worried the whole shoot).
WHAT IF MY KIDS RUN WILD?
Then let them!! Kids are wild little creatures, and it’s such a huge part of their growing up. My family sessions are heavily child-led which means if they want to reenact their favourite Lion King scene/want a tickle fight/need big cuddles then we can follow their lead. Trying to get kids of any age to do as you ask can be a struggle, which is likely to put everyone on edge, so I leave plenty of time for play, and equally for them coming out of their shell.
What should I expect from a session?
My style of photography is devoted to capturing the most honest, beautiful moments between you & the ones you love. I use prompts when needed to help bring out the best in you & the location, but letting yourself feel present within these moments is where all the magic happens.
Can I share my photos online?
Absolutely! You have unlimited downloads of your images, so you can share with friends & family. If you chose to share your photos on social media it would be great if you could tag me so that people can find my business if they wish to. I also ask that you don’t add your own edits, crops or filters.
In your contract there is a clause that allows me to share photos on my social media & website, however if you wish to opt-out then please let me know, your privacy is important to me!
