Alternative Wedding full of sequins, sparkle & streamers | Mount Without, Bristol Wedding Photographer

Bride & Groom at The Mount Without in Bristol in from of Wedding Chapel neon sign

Anna & Jack got legally married back in covid, but they wanted a day to celebrate with their family & friends. They planned their winter wedding at the extraordinary Mount Without in Bristol and knew they wanted something untraditional & FULL of joy... to them that meant colourful guests and decor, all the sequins & sparkle you could imagine and neon signs everywhere.

Anna wore a custom green dress with exquisite beading by Rose Savage Bridal, Jacks suit (including his socks) wer customised with diamantes & even their daughters jumpsuit had added glittery frills. The guests really brought their A game & came dressed head to toe in their brightest, most sequinned outfits and the whole day oozed style & pure joy!

After getting ready together at their house in Bristol they made their way to the Mount Without which had been decorated with amazing neon signs from Gods Own Junkyard, bright uplights & disco balls which just brought the venue to life in a cold February day.

The ceremony was conducted by Anna's brother who, despite starting out in black gown, quickly revealed an incredibly detailed custom suit complete with diamanté love letters - an ode to Anna & Jack's love story which started all the way back in Primary School. After two very emotional readings from friends, the ceremony was concluded with Fat Boy Slim "Praise You" blasting as confetti & streamer cannons went off and the whole venue was covered in it - can you even imagine a more epic way to celebrate?

The rest of the evening was spent partying, making the most out of "Rubbish Portraits" by Lucie Sheridan, the retro-style photo booth from The Photo Cabin, multiple DJs and the incredible Old Dirty Brasstards 10-piece brass band (one of the best bands I’ve ever seen at a wedding- seriously check them out!).

Anna & Jack wanted to celebrate with their most loved family & friends in a way they couldn't when they got legally married, and WOW did they celebrate in STYLE!!! Daunted by the thought of a winter wedding in deep dark February, think of this as your sign that to embrace those slower months and create pure magic & joy!
